Great Sandwiches with Fun NamesKeeping with the movie theme, you sandwiches are named after movie stars of old. Come in to sit down and enjoy a meal, or order your food and drink to go with the film you are attending.

Fun...food and movies!
This place is located on a downtown street where Potbelly's used to be...and it is light years beyond that. We go there for special movies (lots of documentaries there) and usually with friends. The food and wine is simple and very tasty. Get on the mailing list so you can review what is coming. Kudos to Carla, the owner, for making this a local gem.

Coolest place in town
This place has it all. History, food, drinks and fun. It's been a cinema forever and the new owners have done a fantastic job revamping it. You can still see a show, new, old or indie, or enjoy comedy or trivia night. They even have cool gala events or rent the space out. Make sure you join the mailing list to stay up on the events. The menu is moderate with comfort food like soup and sandwiches and the bar prices are good with beer and wine.

Movie and Snacks - Perfect!
First stop on our long weekend. This was super fun! We enjoyed being able to watch a movie while having snacks and beer. The men were a little hungry as they were hoping for bigger meals for dinner, but perfect for the women! We just got them extra popcorn instead.

Unique and fun.
Great place to see a movie and have a great meal while watching it. They have comfortable chairs and tables.

First visit....good timeThe theater is right downtown so it is easy to get to after sightseeing. You can order food and drinks to have before or during the movie. The decor is comfortable and relaxed. They offer first run movies as well as classic and cult movies. The admission.
Price is cheaper than at a mall theatre.

Best Christmas Party Yet
We had our company holiday party here and it was one of the best ones yet. The staff here are wonderfully kind and caring, always asking if there is anything they can do. We were able to watch our own movie in a private theater, but everyone said they would be back as individuals to watch the movies that are regularly presented. This place has got a really cool modern décor and in the room that we were in there was leather club chairs with tables that were really comfortable. Did I mention that everyone was so kind and hospitable, from the owner to the projectionist to the staff serving the food. We were truly blessed to have our holiday party at the Corazon.

The Corazon Cinema is a locals favorite! They have 2 movie theaters showing classic, independent and documentary movies. They also have speciality evenings like Trivia and Comedy Night, Open Mic Poetry to name but a few. Check them out! Oh and they serve food too. My favorite is the ham and cheese grilled sandwich with onions. (Yum!)

Karla,
On behalf of NAMI Volusia/Flagler/St.Johns, thank you so much for partnering with us to offer the May 6 "Hidden Pictures" event! Your guidance at every step was most helpful, and your staff went the extra mile to assure the event was a success. The Corazon is a wonderful resource for our community.
With much appreciation,

So lucky to have this amazing place in our town. The movies are excellent. And how can you beat enjoying a movie with your favorite wine and outstanding sandwiches? Add to that... the owner is so focused on supporting our community that she often contributes to efforts to make St. Augustine a better place. So happy Corazon Cinema is part of our lives!!

Saw a documentary on Orson Welles last night. It was fascinating and what wonderful place Corazon Cinema and Cafe is! Next time I'll skip dinner so I can try the food. Their movie selections are very cutting edge, so I'll definitely be back. They currently have a Nick Cave documentary, and in the next couple of weeks, they'll be showing White God (which was in Jax for about 2 days) and Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter, i.e. the sort of movies you see discussed in detail in the New Yorker, and you wait for them to show up in Jax, . . . and you wait some more, . . . and then suddenly they're on DVD.

Exceeded my expectations in value and experience. Would have never known it was there but it was one of the most unique experiences I have had in St. Augustine. Also the Thursday matinees with lunch (Throwback Thursday Movies) was an incredible deal. $10 for any sandwich on the menu, popcorn and soda.. plus the movie is included. How can you beat that for a date/day of entertainment in the cool A.C.?! I would and will recommend this to everyone going to St. Augustine.

Great place out of the way from all the downtown crowds. Great sandwiches and great prices. Family of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Old movie played on theater screen while we ate. Clean and great decor. Worth the walk over!

They have done a fantastic job of updating the theater. The seats were comfortable, ticket prices very reasonable, the picture and sound were excellent. We will be back soon.

Had lunch at the Corazon cafe. The service was outstanding and the food even better. Great sandwiches named after movie stars. The decor is unique, yet very historic St. Augustine. Looking forward to returning for a movie and more great food.

This old building was a warehouse, a supply retail building, a prior museum of old toys and movies. Corazon, meaning 'heart' in Spanish, has been updated and a very nice restaurant with movies available. Great for the family during the day.

What a wonderful idea owners had. Lovely find in the heart of St Augustine. Karla and staff wonderful. Sandwitches are fresh and delicious. Can't wait to go again.

"Hidden Gem" - Small theater, great food, unique movies and friendly owner and staff! If you have been to Enzian in Winter Park you should give it a try!!!

After hearing locals talk about the refurbishing and re opening of this "movie" theater we were so happy that this unique feature of St. Augustine had a new life. Showings are limited during the week to the evening hours. On weekends there are daytime and evening hours. Usually, the films are foreign, but on a foot ball weekends the theater offered the big football games. Not just another mall movie theater.

This is the Pot Belly movie theater, renovated and under new ownership. We go just for the sandwiches, but the location in the heart of the tourist district and it's parking lot make it a good spot for entertainment too. Anyway, the owner and staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. There is a nice selection of beers and sandwiches. The roast beef version is particularly good. The sides taste fresh. A hidden gem.

I had heard that the old Potbelly Theater had re-opened. Sure enough, it's now called the Corazon Cinema. The new owners have done a great job of revamping. The place is spotless. You can dine, at a table, with a beer, while watching a movie. Parking is not a problem as they have their own parking lot, with a few spaces reserved for takeout. The menu includes lots of interesting sandwich and salad choices, I'm pretty sure nothing was more that $10. It looks like they have space to rent for parties, etc. Look for this off the beaten path gem, sort of behind the Lightner Museum. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich to go. Yes, you can eat here and hang out at the bar without watching a movie. It's always dicey ordering chicken salad. This was seasoned deliciously and overstuffed with lots of meat and NO HARD things! I cannot stand bits of cartilage in chicken salad. It was served on my choice of bread, multigrain, with tomato, onion and a side of Italian dressing. I also got a side of homemade potato salad. I will definitely be returning for more food AND a movie.

“got caught in the rain on the way to another restaurant so took a peek in and glad we stayed. Owner actually waited on us since we were between lunch and dinner time. Excellent chicken salad, great décor. Actually had two theaters which show unusual films.”

“Love this place ask the great staff about the previous owner you may get to see the photo!! Quick lunch descent sandwich fresh and well filled with crisps at a fair price.Free tour of the cinema rooms great place for a rainy day. Also have other events going on so support this great asset of st Augustine's. “

“This is a "must do" for couples and small families. Very good movie selections (not Disney nor first line movies) from various film festivals and "up-start" writers, producers and production companies. An excellent movie-light dinner/snack experience in a small venue!”
–Paradise1140
“Film Buff? You'll enjoy the Corazon Theatre, which shows art films and serves food. The 2 theaters are intimate, the sandwiches and salads were tasty. Many beverages to choose from and delicious hot popcorn too!”

“We held our employee appreciation holiday party at the Corazon last week. The owner Karla and her crew could not have been more accommodating. The theater is a perfect place to host a small event and since then my wife and I have returned just to go the movies. Equally great service.”

“St Augustine is a town of arts and artists.... NOW we have a movie theater that caters to
those who enjoy a foreign film...and other films not on the screens or our "chain" theater
The renovation is tasteful comfortrable and clean! The staff is delightful and when you have the munchies, yes you can have candy but THERE IS MUCH MORE. I recommend it highly.”
